Elene Khoshtaria has been detained

One of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change," Elene Khoshtaria, has been detained. Law enforcement officers took Khoshtaria from her home.

The reason for the detention is presumably the damage to the banner of "Georgian Dream's" mayoral candidate, Kakha Kaladze, for which the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a case.

Specifically, the investigation was initiated under Article 187 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to damaging or destroying property.

For reference, on September 14, Elene Khoshtaria wrote "Russian Dream" on Kakha Kaladze's election banner near his campaign headquarters. She herself shared the corresponding video on social media and stated that in this way, she expresses solidarity with Megi Diasamidze, who was detained a few days ago for damaging Kakha Kaladze's election banner.
