Prosecutor's Office officially charges Elene Khoshtaria

The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has charged Elene Khoshtaria with intentional damage to another person's property.

As the Prosecutor's Office states, an investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that on September 14 of this year, in Tbilisi, the defendant intentionally damaged three banners placed at the election headquarters of the political party Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia, which caused property damage in the amount of 570 GEL.

"The Prosecutor's Office will apply to the court within the time limit established by law for the use of a preventive measure against the defendant," reads the agency.

For information, law enforcement officers arrested Elene Khoshtaria on September 15 of this year. She was charged under Article 187, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (damage to another person's property, causing significant damage), which provides for a sentence of one to five years in prison.
