Alain Berset: We will have contact with the Prime Minister of Georgia today

We will have contact with the Prime Minister of Georgia today, - the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, said Alain Berset, in Copenhagen, before the start of the European Political Community Summit.

"Georgia is a member of the Council of Europe. This means that Georgia has taken on a commitment to the European Convention on Human Rights. This is a great responsibility and we also have great expectations. This means implementing all the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, always being in contact and always working together," - said Alain Berset.

When asked whether he would have contact with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, today, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe gave a positive answer.

"As the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, I am open to contact with everyone. Of course, we will have contact with the Prime Minister of Georgia today," - noted Berset.
