Irakli Kobakhidze: The electoral process was competitive and free from the use of administrative resources, threats, pressure, and violence - I urge every voter to cast their vote in the elections

The electoral process was competitive and qualitatively free from the use of administrative resources, threats, pressure, and violence, stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing held at the Government Administration.

According to the Prime Minister, tomorrow’s elections are of utmost importance, as Georgian citizens will determine the fate of their cities’ and villages’ development.

“Today marks the end of the election campaign, and we would like to summarize the pre-election processes. As you know, 12 political associations are participating in the elections, and they were given the opportunity to conduct their campaigns freely and under equal conditions. The electoral process was competitive and qualitatively free from the use of administrative resources, threats, pressure, and violence.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Central Election Commission of Georgia for administering the pre-election processes at a high level, as well as to law enforcement agencies for ensuring the safety of citizens during the election campaign.

Tomorrow, highly significant elections will take place, where Georgian citizens will determine the fate of their cities’ and villages’ development. We are pleased that over the past years, local self-governance has become a branch of government that enjoys particularly high trust in society. This is an achievement that every citizen of our country should cherish. We are confident that our fellow citizens will make a choice tomorrow that will best ensure the progress and development of our cities, villages, and every municipality.

On behalf of the Government of Georgia, I urge each of our fellow citizens, every voter, to demonstrate high civic responsibility and cast their vote in the local self-government elections,” stated the Prime Minister.
