Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, was summoned to the US Department of State, where “deep concern” was expressed over the statements made by government officials, Radio Liberty reports.

According to them, Tamar Taliashvili’s summoning is related to the accusations of Georgian Dream government officials about “financing the revolution from Thailand.”

“We are deeply concerned that senior Georgian government officials are irresponsibly spreading false information released by the media, which has led to a campaign of harassment and intimidation of the public, which is based entirely on false information,” a spokesperson for the US Embassy in Georgia told Radio Liberty.

For information, Mamuka Mdinaradze, stated that “the embassy of one of the countries is funding radicals against the government in Georgia from Thailand.”
