We reminded everyone before October 4 that we have more resources to identify the perpetrators, criminals, therefore, many protesters and perpetrators will have to wait for appropriate measures, - said the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to the Prime Minister, a special operation is being conducted today, several "criminals will be arrested today" and this process will continue.
According to the Prime Minister, many people who were violent at the presidential residence have been identified - "some are hiding in apartments, some have fled to the regions". In addition, according to Kobakhidze, the declared organizers have been detained, now we are talking about those who directly "brought the storming" to the presidential residence, who are representatives of trained youth-extremist groups.
"During these four years, we have seen the fifth attempt to organize a revolution in our country, which was supported from the outside. Among them, we have seen public statements made in support of a previously announced overthrow campaign. In this case, too, the state was well prepared and this fifth attempt was also thwarted. We cannot wait for the sixth, seventh, and eighth attempts, our main task is that no one dares to make any sixth attempt. Everything will be done for this, appropriate measures will be taken. We have declared that whoever was involved in the violence, whoever stormed the presidential residence, will be held accountable before the law. We also reminded everyone before October 4 that we have more resources to identify the perpetrators, criminals, accordingly, many protesters and perpetrators should wait for appropriate measures. A corresponding special operation is being conducted today, several criminals will already be arrested today. And this process will continue. Many people have been identified who attacked the presidential residence, including some who are hiding in apartments, some who fled to the regions. All of the declared organizers have been detained, now we are talking about those who directly stormed the presidential residence. These are representatives of a trained youth-extremist group who had a specific task to storm the state, although this storm turned out to be unsuccessful," the Prime Minister told Rustavi 2.
