State Security Service regarding search of the houses of Irakli Gharibashvili and 7 other people: The seized documentation and electrical devices are being examined, as well as the origin of the cash, after which legal action will be taken against the individuals

According to the State Security Service, the documents and information on electrical devices seized as a result of the search of the homes of Irakli Gharibashvili, Grigol Liluashvili, Otar Partskhaladze, Romeo Mikautadze, Mikheil Chokheli, Vano and Tornike Parkauliს, Andria (also known as Sandro) Liluashvili and their family members are being examined and the origin of the cash is being determined, after which legal action will be taken against the relevant persons.

According to the service, further investigative and operational actions will be planned after this and legal action will be taken against the relevant persons.

“Cash was seized from various locations, totaling 7,002,200 USD and 136,000 GEL, 198 pieces of jewelry and watches, expensive paintings, several thousand sheets of documentation, 50 mobile phones and 119 pieces of electrical equipment.

Currently, the employees of the State Security Service and the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia are jointly studying and processing the information on the aforementioned documentation and electrical equipment in an intensive mode. Also, the real origin of the seized cash will be determined, after which further investigative and operational actions will be planned based on the processed information and legal action will be taken against the relevant persons," a representative of the State Security Service said at the briefing.
