Before the start of the EU Foreign Ministers’ meeting, Georgia’s fifth President, Salome Zurabishvili, individually addressed each minister with a letter describing “the ongoing events in Georgia and the sharp developments in recent political processes.” This information was disseminated by Salome Zurabishvili's press service.

According to the same source, in the letter, Salome Zurabishvili highlights “the threats facing Georgia’s democratic future and its European path.”

“The President calls on EU leaders to develop a consistent and effective policy in response to Russia’s hybrid war, which poses a threat not only to Georgia but to Europe as a whole,” the statement reads.
