Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze discussed the concept of education system reform with the rectors of state higher education institutions. This information was disseminated by the Government Administration.
As stated in the released information, the head of government spoke in detail about the directions of the concept aimed at qualitatively improving the quality of higher education.
"The discussion included, among other things, the redistribution of faculties in universities, the necessity of developing regional universities, and the deconcentration of the education system.
The head of government emphasized the importance of taking into account the visions and opinions of rectors and professors for the full implementation of the reform and noted that similar meetings will continue in the future.
As a result of the discussions, the concept of education reform will take its final form and will be approved by the government.
The meeting between the Prime Minister and the university rectors was held in a question-and-answer format. The rectors received answers from the head of government on issues of interest to them.
