Salome Zurabishvili: Georgia is not only falling into Russian hands, it is mirroring Russian practices: high level corruption, interdiction of parties and NGOs, repressive laws

Georgia is not only falling into Russian hands, it is mirroring Russian practices: high level corruption(involving over a dozen high officials), - the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, writes on the social platform X.

According to her, in Georgia, like in Russia, political parties and NGOs are being banned, so-called Gongo’s [government-created NGOs] are being created.

“Georgia is not only falling into Russian hands, it is mirroring Russian practices: high level corruption(involving over a dozen high officials), political suicides and defections, interdiction of parties and NGO’s, creation of Gongo’s and satellite parties, same repressive laws!” - Zurabishvili writes.
