The European Union’s assessment is historic for our country and a shameful verdict for “Georgian Dream,” which practically destroyed a benefit of once-in-a-century significance, Elene Khoshtaria, leader of the party 'Droa', wrote in a post shared on Droa’s official Facebook page.

According to Khoshtaria, history teaches us that Europe’s door cannot remain permanently open to Georgia.

“This is a historic opportunity and challenge for us, for those whose Europe’s door is still open. It cannot remain open forever. History teaches us this, and we can fully open Europe’s door only through great effort.

This effort must put an end to the Russian regime. The fathers of our independence did not grant us freedom for us to hand it over to Russia.

Every day, as I witness this struggle, I am confident that we will not lose this historic chance. However, we must not forget that it is something that must be earned—completely!”
