“It has now been confirmed that the law is American, that Brussels itself stopped the integration process, and that the sum is just a vessel,” wrote the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
He noted that narratives cannot change reality, and “the truth cannot forever be hidden by propaganda.”
“Two false narratives into which Brussels invested enormous political energy and financial resources: The Parliament of Georgia adopted a ‘Russian law’; The Government of Georgia halted the EU integration process.
Time has passed, and it has been confirmed that the law is American, that Brussels itself suspended the integration process, and that the sum is a vessel. A narrative cannot change reality. The truth cannot forever be masked by propaganda.
Brussels’ moral regression began when it accepted disinformation and propaganda as legitimate political instruments — thereby violating the very principles on which Europe was built: freedom, justice, and honest dialogue. The attempt to achieve moral goals through immoral means will, sooner or later, harm even the most valuable intentions.
Therefore, the first step Brussels must take to return to the path of European values is to renounce disinformation and propaganda. Only by restoring the truth will Brussels once again become the Europe that was once considered synonymous with freedom and justice,” Papuashvili wrote.
