As the head of government noted, China, Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, Georgia create a very interesting route for economic ties and trade partnerships.
"We are doing everything to play a strong role in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Georgia has a strategic location. Historically, Georgia has been a connecting link between the West and the East, Europe and Asia, and in this context, of course, we want to strengthen our role as a connecting country between the West and the East. Also, in this context, our participation in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative is very promising for us. We want to restore our transit function as much as possible and for this we are making large investments, especially in infrastructure. We are strengthening Georgia's infrastructure. We are making large investments in the construction of highways, seaports, airports, and railways, so that Georgia becomes a stronger player in terms of connectivity with different parts of the world. The "Middle Corridor" initiative can play a very important role in the development of economic partnership and trade relations between different countries. China, Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, Georgia, create a very interesting route for economic ties and trade partnership. That is why we remain committed to the idea of ​​strengthening the Middle Corridor, the Trans-Caspian Corridor. And Georgia is a reliable partner for all the countries around us. That is why we believe that Georgia can continue to play a very positive role in strengthening cooperation in the future," the Prime Minister said.
