“We should not take the radical opposition separately as a political actor. The radical opposition is a tool in the hands of their foreign patrons. In general, they orchestrate this entire process.

Therefore, the radical opposition is used to implement an agenda towards Georgia according to the wishes of the groups that organize, patronize and, among others, finance them. Therefore, we should look for the main problems in Brussels. The main problem is that Brussels today is firmly on the path that Soviet Moscow once was, when instead of dialogue, there is confrontation, instead of taking into account the interests of others, there is a desire to impose its own agenda,” said Shalva Papuashvili.

As for the prospects for cooperation between Brussels and Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili said that an agreement on values ​​should first be reached between them.

"We cannot agree on the main values. Our values ​​are respect for the sovereignty of the people, the rule of law, democracy and respect for human rights. Unfortunately, regarding all four values, Brussels has deviated from these main principles. In particular, it does not recognize the sovereignty of the Georgian people to choose their own government, it does not recognize the sovereignty of the Georgian people in the issue of adopting and implementing their own legislation. It does not recognize the basic principles on which European values ​​should be based. Therefore, the problem today is that Brussels has deviated from the common European path towards Georgia and is trying to teach us with guardianship approaches and directives. As soon as Brussels returns to European values, at that moment all the difficulties in Georgian-European relations will be resolved," Papuashvili said.
