Giorgi Baramidze:The regime and Putin’s aim is to intimidate and destroy Mikheil Saakashvili and his team; the gang of traitors will not succeed - we will continue the fight

Giorgi Baramidze, Political Secretary of the United National Movement, called the transfer of the third president Mikheil Saakashvili from the Vivamed clinic back to prison “an order from Putin.”

He said that Saakashvili’s comrades-in-arms will continue the struggle.

“Today, a few hours ago, the Russian regime of traitors and criminals decided to move Mikheil Saakashvili from the medical facility to Rustavi Prison. All of this is happening on Putin’s orders, because Putin’s goal is to fight the independent, modern state whose symbol of construction is President Saakashvili. The aim of this regime and of Putin is to intimidate and destroy Mikheil Saakashvili and his team - the United National Movement - but this gang of traitors will not achieve that. Saakashvili’s comrades-in-arms, who came to Rustavi Prison, will continue the struggle. We are convinced that because our struggle is just, because our struggle is for the liberation, restoration, and unification of Georgia, we will all prevail together and the Georgian people will give these criminals the appropriate response. Strength is in unity! Freedom to Mikheil Saakashvili - Putin’s personal captive and hostage!” Baramidze said near Rustavi Prison.
