Irakli Kobakhidze - Coordination is evident when different parties repeat the same thing - no Georgian land is sold to foreigners! The area of Krtsanisi is 120 times smaller than Tbilisi, it is speculative to compare it with Monaco!

Our message is very simple: - No Georgian land is sold to foreigners! The area of Krtsanisi is 120 times smaller than the area of Tbilisi, and comparing it to the area of Monaco is purely speculative! - This statement was made by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze regarding the Eagles Hill project in the Parliament.

Kobakhidze appealed to the opposition not to try to create wrong perceptions with cheap speculation.

“The project is being implemented on a total area of approximately 850 hectares of land. Of this, the Krtsanisi territory is approximately 600 hectares. As for the Gonio territory - this is approximately 250 hectares.

We hear a thousand speculations. Coordination is evident when representatives of different political parties repeat the same thing. They say that this is four times more territory than Monaco. I don’t know who can be influenced by such speculative statements. Everyone in Georgia is well aware that Monaco is a so-called dwarf state, as these countries are called, and Monaco is the smallest state even among them. In fact, it is a very small city and comparing it with the territory of Monaco is purely speculative. In other words, if we were to show in a non-speculative way what the share of the area of Krtsanisi is in relation to the area of Tbilisi - this is 120 times less territory compared to the area of Tbilisi.

The state remains the co-owner of the land plots. As for the possibility of alienating the land, the partner company has no possibility of alienating the land. The land is the co-ownership of the joint company. The land can be used for the sole purpose - to implement a development project, which is guaranteed by the signed agreement.

Both plots are non-agricultural agricultural land, which will no longer have an autonomous purpose after the completion of construction, and the land will be attached to the relevant buildings and structures,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.

At the plenary session of the Parliament, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is being heard by interpellation.

Kobakhidze was invited to the Parliament by the Georgian Dream faction. The interpellation will concern two issues - questions will be asked regarding the planned reform in the direction of higher education and the Eagle Hills project.

The interpellation began with the Eagle Hills project.
