A protest rally-march will be held in Tbilisi today

Today, a protest rally-march will take place in the capital. More specifically, two separate marches are planned. At 19:00, participants will begin marching from two locations: the first building of Tbilisi State University (TSU) and the old building of the Public Broadcaster.

Starting at 20:00, citizens will gather in front of the Parliament.

It is known that professors and teachers will join the demonstration. They made this announcement symbolically in the yard of Tbilisi State University. Representatives from various fields, including opposition politicians, will also join the rally-march.

November 28 marks one year since Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s statement that, according to the decision of Georgian Dream, the issue of opening EU accession negotiations would not be placed on the agenda until the end of 2028.

This statement triggered protests that have continued for 365 days. Citizens gather outside the legislative body with unchanged demands: to call new parliamentary elections and release those detained during the protests.
