“Today, a leader of a party that is a member of ALDE attempted to carry out a terrorist act,” – this is how the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, assessed the information released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the attempted arson of the Tbilisi City Court Chancellery by Aleko Elisashvili, a member of “Lelo – Strong Georgia.”
Papuashvili also noted that yesterday public statements were heard from some EU capitals supporting “violent groups.”
“Yesterday, from some capitals of the European Union, we heard statements supporting violent groups.
Today, a leader of a party that is a member of ALDE attempted to carry out a terrorist act.
Welcome to the value-filled European Union,” Papuashvili stated.
