Irakli Kobakhidze - ALDE should be more worried that one of its party leaders was planning a terrorist act in a courthouse, but they are trying to shift the focus based on falsehood - this speaks of their tragic situation

ALDE should be more concerned about the fact that one of its party leaders was organizing a terrorist act in the center of Tbilisi, in the courthouse, but is trying to shift the focus based on a lie, which speaks of the tragic situation that has been created in this particular European party, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said, responding to ALDE's statement regarding the BBC's investigative material.

According to him, this is a simple coordinated scheme against the state interests of Georgia.

"A simple lie was spread. ALDE, in my opinion, should be more concerned about the fact that one of its party leaders was organizing a terrorist act in the center of Tbilisi, in the courthouse. ALDE should be concerned about this, and at this time they are trying to divert attention by using the lie that was spread by one of the fake TV channels. This speaks of the tragic situation that has been created in this particular European party,” Kobakhidze said.

For information, ALDE, the Alliance of European Liberal and Democrat Parties, stated that “European Liberals are outraged by today’s BBC investigation.”

ALDE notes that it supports its member parties and the opposition, which demand an independent international investigation.

“We call on partners to limit the transfer of equipment that could be used against civilians,” the statement said.
