Public Defender visits Aleksandre Elisashvili

The Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, visited defendant Aleksandre Elisashvili, who is being held in Penitentiary Institution No. 6, as well as other prisoners in the institution, and received information about their conditions. The relevant information has been released by the Public Defender’s Office.

“The Public Defender inspected the infrastructure of the institution, visited the newly opened woodworking unit, received information about the programmes being carried out in the institution to promote the resocialization and rehabilitation of the accused/convicted, viewed the private spaces, and met and talked with the administration of the institution”, reads the press release.
