“On Monday, the illegitimate Speaker of Parliament will come out and label Lelo a terrorist party, or announce some Kremlin-dictated madness. Start counting time not for us, but for yourselves - the ones who carried out a chemical attack on the Georgian people,” - writes Irakli Kupradze, Secretary-General of Lelo – For Strong Georgia, in a social media post, responding to the statement made by Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, who said that if political parties do not expel Aleko Elisashvili by Monday, they will “become organizations that harbor a terrorist.”
According to Kupradze, poisoning hundreds of thousands of people is an act of terrorism committed against one’s own citizens.

As a reminder, on December 3, Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili stated that if Aleko Elisashvili - who has been detained by the Tbilisi City Court on charges of attempted terrorist activity - is not expelled from the parties, then starting Monday, Citizens, Strong Georgia, and ALDE “will officially become organizations that harbor a terrorist.”
