Irakli Kobakhidze - 50, 100 or even 150 people should not commit violence against 4 million people - when you are few, you should be satisfied with the given situation that you have and respect the interests of the remaining 4 million people

50, 100 or even 150 people should not commit violence against 4 million people - when you are few, you should be satisfied with the situation you have and respect the interests of the remaining 4 million people - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in connection with the planned amendments to the Law on Assemblies.

According to him, “If you do not have enough numbers, you cannot create problems for the rest of the population.”

“A very simple principle applies here - 50, 100 or even 150 people should not commit violence against 4 million people. If you do not have enough numbers, you cannot create problems for the rest of the population. Accordingly, it was necessary to make changes to the legislation. A number of changes have been made during this period, and now another change is being introduced to the Law on Assemblies. The main goal is that 50, 100 or even 150 people should not create problems for 4 million people. When you are few, you should be satisfied with the situation you have and respect the interests of the remaining 4 million people,” Kobakhidze said.

For information, according to the amendments, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is obliged to provide prior warning in the event that a gathering or demonstration is held in a place where people are moving. In addition, similar to blocking a road, it is prohibited to artificially block pathways, unless the number of participants in the gathering or demonstration requires it. It will also be prohibited to block pathways with vehicles, various structures and objects.
