It has not yet been specified which agencies will be affected, although we have such a plan, the buildings of specific agencies can be sold off, so that we can build new buildings at the same price, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists, responding to information according to which the government announced a market study regarding the relocation of the Parliament, Tbilisi City Hall, government administration and ministries to Arsenali mountain.
As Kobakhidze noted, this initiative will, among other things, contribute to economic growth.
"We will make a decision on all issues. In general, the working conditions for our public servants are often not appropriate. Therefore, it has not yet been specified which agencies will be affected, although we have such a plan. The buildings of specific agencies can be sold so that we can build new buildings at the same price, which will doubly ensure economic activity. On the one hand, an economic activity will be the construction of new buildings, which will also promote economic development, on the other hand, when specific administrative buildings are sold for investment purposes, this will also promote economic activity. In other words, from a zero state, we can encourage dual economic activity through this project, which will additionally promote economic growth," Kobakhidze said.
