Mikheil Kavelashvili - We are not the government to follow such simple provocations and start speculating about why Irakli Kobakhidze and the President of Russia were sitting in the same space

We are not the kind of government that would follow such simple provocations and start speculating about why Irakli Kobakhidze and the Russian President were sitting in the same space, - Mikheil Kavelashvili told journalists.

According to Mikheil Kavelashvili, Irakli Kobakhidze was presented with dignity at the forum in Turkmenistan.

“If I am not mistaken, 15 countries were at the event in Turkmenistan. All of us, worthy Georgians, saw a worthy speech by the Prime Minister of our state, where he spoke about the interests of our country, the existing challenges, the global situation and the occupied territories. The message that we speak about almost every day. We are sincere. Peace policy, peaceful return, united coexistence with our sisters and brothers in a united Georgia, this is our main goal, to unite our Georgia. We have had to coexist with our sisters and brothers, Ossetians and Abkhazians for centuries. We must gradually forget the war situations, the mistakes that both sides made, and turn this page so that we can once again coexist in a united Georgia, as we have lived for centuries. This is our main goal. Anyone who sees this, both inside and outside the country, is also our supporter. The process is underway. Given these challenges, we are not government that we follow such simple provocations and start speculating about why Irakli Kobakhidze and the Russian President were sitting in the same space.

Wake up, there is a different reality. Our message is clear to everyone. Let us be principled about this and protect the unity and future of our country,” Kavelashvili said.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attended the International Year of Peace and Trust Forum in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, on December 11-12, which was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and in which Russian President Vladimir Putin also participated.
