Małgorzata Gosiewska: We cannot be partners with a Russian spy - We need swift action and sanctions against Ivanishvili

“We cannot be partners with a Russian spy. We need swift action and sanctions against Ivanishvili; otherwise, we will see even more aggression,” said Member of the European Parliament Małgorzata Gosiewska.

“I am speaking both as a Pole who still remembers the smell of tear gas, and as a friend of Georgia — a Georgia that is being stolen not by tanks, but by deception.

The crisis in Georgia is not political; it is criminal. The regime is using chemical substances against students who are holding EU flags. We have repeatedly called for the release of Saakashvili, yet the regime ignores every European resolution. Why? Because Saakashvili is Putin’s personal enemy and remains imprisoned, which demonstrates loyalty to the Kremlin.

The United States has acted — they imposed sanctions on Ivanishvili and called him what he is: a Russian who has taken control in Georgia to destroy Georgia’s sovereignty. We cannot be partners with a Russian spy. We need swift action and sanctions against Ivanishvili; otherwise, we will see more aggression,” Gosiewska said.
