The extremely important role of our diplomatic missions in the process of consolidating support for the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity is worth noting, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in his speech at the Ambassadors' Conference.
According to him, against the backdrop of the occupation of 20% of the country's territories, the policy of non-recognition remains an unchanged priority, and the country's successful activities in this direction are due to diplomats.
“I am glad that I have the opportunity to address you once again today at the annual conference of ambassadors, which has become a very interesting platform for dialogue. Today's conference is a very good opportunity to summarize the past year, which was full of many difficulties, but we were able to overcome all the difficulties properly, and your contribution and role in this is special. I would like to express my gratitude to each of you, especially the ambassadors, for your hard work.
Fundamental changes are taking place in the global international system, the international agenda is changing. In the conditions of such transformations, for a country located in a complex region like Georgia, international relations based on rational and pragmatic policies are of vital importance. In this matter, the role of our diplomats is decisive.
I would like to emphasize the extremely important role of our diplomatic missions in the process of consolidating support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity. Against the backdrop of the occupation of 20% of the territories, the policy of non-recognition remains our unchanging priority. Our successful work in this direction is, of course, once again the merit of you, the diplomats," the Prime Minister said.
