During the meeting with the ambassadors, we talked about both foreign policy issues and processes ongoing within the country, and an interesting discussion took place on all these topics, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists after the ambassadors' conference.
According to him, the government's priority for the next year will be to protect and strengthen the country's foreign policy positions as much as possible.
"We had an interesting meeting with our ambassadors, I would like to thank Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili for organizing the Ambassadors' Conference at a very high level. During the meeting with the ambassadors, we talked about both foreign policy issues and the processes ongoing within the country, and an interesting discussion took place regarding all these topics. Our priority next year is to protect and strengthen our foreign policy positions as much as possible. There are still many challenges in the foreign arena, but I think that with the policy we have been pursuing so far, it is possible to overcome all challenges and, most importantly, to protect our national interests," the head of dovernment said.
As Kobakhidze noted, many things may change globally next year.
"Let's see how the processes develop. Most importantly, we will be maximally focused on protecting our national interests. No matter how difficult the challenges are, the main thing for us is to protect our strategic, national interests," Irakli Kobakhidze said.
