Do you remember that there was an attempt at a revolution in 2023, then only one person was arrested, despite very large-scale violence. Then there was another attempt in one year, in the spring of 2024, there were only 6 people arrested, despite the fact that many, hundreds of people were involved in a violent criminal act, and here a temptation arose - when you arrest 1 or 6 people, people feel that they may repeat such a crime. We warned people in advance at the end of 2024, in 2025, that their criminal actions would no longer go unpunished, they did not believe us and received a specific sanction. I hope that this will be an example for any person who may think of committing a crime in the future and this is good for them in the future, such a preventive effect will ultimately deter them from committing a crime, which is our responsibility. We do not want anyone to go to prison, we want people not to commit crimes. This is precisely the preventive effect that the arrest of specific people had, which was simply inevitable. Today, the state is much stronger than it was 1, 2, or even 3 years ago, and we are ready to ensure that no such scenario is repeated. I think that today, their resources are very limited, the resources of any potential perpetrator are very limited, and that is why blackmail tools are no longer used by specific forces against our country. They know that no blackmail tool will be useful for developing revolutionary processes in Georgia. One of such potential tools was the suspension of visa liberalization, although this tool was not implemented either, and I think the main reason is that everyone understood everything. Everyone understood that no blackmail tool can force Georgian society to take a step against its own country and its national interests. The entry in the European Commission report on visa liberalization was also a small attempt at blackmail, but as for practical steps, I think that in this case specific bureaucrats will act more pragmatically," the Prime Minister said.
