This year was successful for our country, the beginning of the year was full of challenges, however, we managed to maintain peace and stability in the country, and this was the result of the efforts of each of you, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at the government session.
According to the Prime Minister, the local self-government elections were successfully held, which was of particular importance for the continuation of political life in a stable manner.
"This year we have the last government session. Let's summarize the past year, which we can safely say was successful for our country. The beginning of the year was full of challenges, but we managed to maintain peace and stability in the country, and this was the result of the efforts of each of you. We also successfully held local self-government elections, which was of particular importance for the continuation of political life in a stable manner. Unfortunately, this year also did not pass without an attempt at revolution, although we all saw that the state handled all of this properly, effectively and humanely. This is our obligation to our country and people," the Prime Minister said.
In addition, according to Kobakhidze, one of the main achievements of the current year was the improvement of the management system. According to him, there are 7 new ministers in the government team and a number of changes have been made "so that the government is as transparent, accountable and effective as possible."
"The composition of the government has been partially renewed, we have 7 new ministers in the team, and the quality of the government's work has improved significantly this year, including as a result of personnel changes. We have made a number of changes to make the government as transparent, accountable and effective as possible. All acts of the government are transparent, which creates very good conditions for us to constantly improve the quality of our activities," the Prime Minister said.
