Of course, we do not intend to stop or surrender in 2026 either. Let no one have the illusion that I personally, or our team, will grow tired in this unequal struggle. What matters most is that the people clearly distinguish who is an enemy and who is a friend,” reads a statement by the Honorary Chairman of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, and his wife, Ekaterina Ivanishvili.

According to the statement, the Georgian Dream team will not tire in this “unequal struggle.”

“Dear fellow citizens! Georgians living in Georgia and beyond its borders!

We congratulate you on the coming Christmas and New Year! May it be a year of peace, unity, and success for our families and our country. We wish each of you health and prosperity. At the same time, we wish you faith in a better tomorrow, because together we are building a strong and successful future for Georgia and for our children.

The past year was filled with challenges and difficulties. Society clearly saw how a global, malevolent force fought against Georgia - a force driven by unhealthy ambitions of world domination. We all witnessed the open, undisguised, and unequal confrontation against Georgia’s sovereignty and unity, a confrontation against the Georgian people, both inside the country and from abroad.

Despite the most difficult challenges, in 2025, through the wisdom of the Georgian people and the balanced, calm, and pragmatic policies of our political team, we responded adequately to all challenges. We met every blow coming from outside with dignity and did not take a single step back in the fight for our homeland, our people, and Georgia’s sovereignty.

Of course, we do not intend to stop or surrender in 2026 either, because behind us stand our homeland, our families, our culture and traditions, and our children. Therefore, there is simply no path of retreat. We have no choice. We are obliged before our homeland, our nation, and our ancestors to protect all those values that have proudly carried our centuries-old nation to this day.

Let no one have the illusion that I personally, or our political team, will grow tired in this unequal struggle. What is crucial is that our people, just as before, clearly distinguish in 2026 as well who is Georgia’s enemy and who is its friend.

I assess the situation objectively and am confident this will be the case, because to my great pride, a society has been formed in Georgia that is not merely difficult, but impossible to deceive or manipulate emotionally. Yes, this is today’s Georgian people in all their greatness.

Personally, as an ordinary soldier of my homeland, together with my political team, I will remain on guard for our country and our families in 2026 as well. We will faithfully fulfill this difficult and honorable mission for as long as our society considers our service to Georgia necessary.
