“Our society was essentially united around common national goals, and this allowed us to overcome all challenges,” said Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze.
He added that one of the government’s priorities was strengthening sovereignty, preserving independence and peace, and implementing sound economic policies.
“We have much more stability at the end of 2025 than we had at the end of 2024. One of our priorities was strengthening sovereignty, maintaining independence and peace, and pursuing proper economic policies. Overall, the country has been successful in all these respects. Around us, we also strive to strengthen peace, specifically in our region.
In this regard, we faced particular, I would say, specific problems during the past period, and this year a lot has been done to address corruption as effectively as possible. Of course, we will continue our efforts in this area in the future. We have declared an ambitious goal: we want to rank among the top three European countries in terms of low corruption,” the Prime Minister noted.
Irakli Kobakhidze also emphasized the importance of education reform.
“Education plays a key role in overcoming the challenges facing our country. Naturally, successfully completing this reform will be one of the main tasks that we will continue to focus on in the coming year,” the Prime Minister said on Imedi TV.
