In addition to members of parliament, employees of the parliamentary office will also receive increased salaries from 2026.

The 2026 budget provided for at least a 10% increase in salaries in state agencies, based on which the basic salary of public sector employees was set at 1,600 GEL.

The Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, issued a new order on the approval of the structure and parliamentary staff list, which came into effect on January 1, 2026.

According to the aforementioned order, the head of the parliamentary staff will receive the highest monthly salary of 11,200 GEL. The salary of the deputy head of the parliamentary staff (three deputies) will be 10,400 GEL, and the salary of the assistants to the head of the staff will be 3,520 GEL. By the same order, the salary of the assistants of the Deputy Head of the Office is set at 3,520 GEL.

Starting from 2026, the monthly official salary of the Head of the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Parliament will be 9,600 GEL, the salary of the Deputy Head of the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Parliament will be 7,200 GEL, the salary of the assistants will be 7,040 GEL, and the salary of the main specialists will be 4,480 GEL. According to the order of Shalva Papuashvili, 17 people are employed in the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Parliament.

By the order of the Chairman of the Parliament, the Secretariat of the First Vice-Speaker is represented by eight employees. The salary of the head of the secretariat will be 7,040 GEL, assistants - 6,400 GEL, chief specialists - 4,480 GEL, leading specialist - 3,520 GEL and senior specialist - 2,880 GEL.

As for the secretariats of the vice-speakers of the Parliament, the head of the secretariat will have a salary of 6,400 GEL, the chief specialist - 4,480 GEL, and the senior specialist - 2,880 GEL.

Similar amounts will be determined for the official salaries of the employees of the secretariat of the parliamentary majority leader.

With the latest changes, the units existing in the departments of the Parliament have been transformed into divisions. The salary of the head of the department will be 9,600 GEL, the deputy head of the department - 7,200 GEL, the head of the division - 6,400 GEL, the chief specialists - 4,480 GEL, the leading specialist - 3,520 GEL, the senior specialist - 2,880 GEL.

As for the staff of the parliamentary committees, from 2026 the monthly salary of the head of the staff will be 6,400 GEL, the chief specialist of the staff - 4,480 GEL, the leading specialist - 3,520 GEL, the senior specialist - 2,880 GEL, and the salary of the assistant to the chairman of the committee - 3,520 GEL.

The salary of the assistants of the deputies will be 2,880 GEL.

According to the parliamentary staff list, 650 people will be employed in the Parliamentary Staff. Of these, 4 are civil servants, 313 are professional civil servants, 166 are employed under an administrative contract, and 167 are employed under an employment contract, who receive monthly remuneration in accordance with the employment contract.
