Salome Zurabishvili will participate in the Global Europe Forum 2026 in Brussels

The fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, will participate in the Global Europe Forum 2026 in Brussels on January 13, which will be dedicated to the issue of European security.

According to the press service, Salome Zurabishvili has already left for Brussels.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will also attend the forum “Freedom on the Offensive: Fighting for a Secure Europe” organized by Renew Europe. The forum will discuss ways to protect European security and democratic values ​​against the backdrop of modern global challenges. As part of the forum, President Zurabishvili will participate in the panel discussion “Shield of Democracy”, which is dedicated to the protection of democratic institutions and media freedom. The panel will include: MEP Nathalie Loiseau, Stanford University researcher Marije Schaake, and a representative of Reporters Without Borders.

The discussion will be moderated by Terry Schultz, Senior Correspondent for the European Union and NATO. High-level bilateral meetings and interviews with international media representatives are planned within the framework of the forum, the report says.
