Irakli Kadagishvili - There is no situation in Georgia for citizens to be forced to leave the country

I think that there is no situation in Georgia, objectively, for citizens to be forced to leave the country, - the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Self-Government, Irakli Kadagishvili, said in response to the temporary suspension of the issuance of immigration visas by the United States of America to citizens of 75 countries, including Georgia.

According to him, in fact, the United States of America is refusing immigration visas, although visas for various purposes will be issued as usual.

"You are now looking at the immigration policy being implemented in America. In fact, the US is refusing immigration visas. You know that Trump introduced this "golden card". If you want to obtain the right to live in the US, etc., there are certain high financial obligations. In general, what does an immigration visa mean?! When a citizen is forced to leave his country. The reasons for the compulsion can be different. I think that objectively, there is no situation in Georgia for citizens to leave the country. As for visas for educational, business relations or tourist purposes, these visas will continue to be issued in the same manner as they were issued before,” Kadagishvili said.
