This is a classic mafia system, - the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, said at today's court hearing. According to him, the Georgian Dream is isolated from the international community and is trying to sow fear in society.

"There is hopelessness, despair, but I have come to tell you - there is hope and freedom, happiness is just a hand's reach. The regime is isolated not only from the civilized world and our neighbors, but even from the occupier Russia," - said Saakashvili.

According to him, the only thing the dictatorship stands on is inertia and fear.

"Since there are huge financial resources and complete negligence, we must confront with courage that has already been shown to us by the captured young people. I tried to set an example of this - I swam across the sea, was poisoned. I was very close to death twice and now I still risk my life every day. We are dealing with an unprecedented madness on a global scale. We, an entire nation, are a hostage of a seriously ill man who sent his own chief servant, whom he called the Prime Minister, to prison. He decided to arrest the most important minister for him and an accomplice to his crimes; attempted to kill the vassal in Adjara. He poisoned people and poisoned me too. Anyone who he does not like among his business partners are in prison. At the same time, we must understand that in reality, this is a mafia structure. The main task of the mafia boss is to keep everyone in fear, especially members of their own “clan”. Nothing new is happening in Georgia, this is a classic mafia system”, - said Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to him, it is impossible for this system to last long if society is up to the challenge.

“This means overcoming fear and telling the unvarnished truth, which for many may be the bitter truth. The truth is that many people could not harmonize with the reforms of the “Rose Revolution”. We clashed with the system established by the invaders and, in fact, with the slave psychology, the psychology of corruption and crime, the subculture of nepotism, and during this clash, of course, there were very serious consequences, including for us. We have actually made a mental revolution, and this gang of thieves has opposed this mental revolution,” Saakashvili said.

He noted that the future youth energy will defeat this situation.

“What is our future? On the other side there is lies, impudence, ruthlessness, incompetence, a swamp, on our side there is truth, courage, honesty, youth and the future... This is a country conquered by Bidzina the Cruel and his barbarians with the support of Russia. We must tear this down. Truth defeats impudence, lies. Future youth energy defeats the swamp of the past, talent defeats incompetence,” Saakashvili noted.

For information, the trial of the third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, is underway in the Tbilisi City Court on the November 7 case. The defendant Saakashvili himself is attending the court hearing. It is noteworthy that Saakashvili has not attended his court proceedings in the courthouse since he was transferred to Vivamedi for treatment in 2022.
