Debates are the most effective way to overcome polarization in Georgia, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
According to Kobakhidze, debates “must have a healthy form.”
“Our only condition is that these debates must have a healthy form and the only goal of the debates must be to provide the public with appropriate information on all topics. These debates must be subject-specific, they must be thematic. This is how we imagine discussions that should be held in public space. The rest is a matter of consultations with the media. We hope that very soon, as quickly as possible, we will be able to agree on these formats. I am also ready to personally engage in such discussions. Our only task is to hold healthy discussions, healthy debates. This is the most effective way to overcome polarization in Georgia,” Kobakhidze stated.
