Irakli Kobakhidze - The working process on the pricing issue will be completed by the end of April, based on this we can make specific decisions, including specific legislative amendments

There are relevant agencies that study cartel transactions and, if necessary, take appropriate measures - we must find ways to reduce prices as much as possible, this is our task, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to him, an investigative commission will definitely be established in the legislative body in this direction by a decision of the parliament.

"A commission will definitely be created in the parliament, this is the decision of the parliament, as for specific possible cartel transactions, I will not comment on this today. Today we have a meeting with Georgian producers who produce food products in our country. Of course, we will also hear information from them. Naturally, we do not want to draw hasty conclusions, there are relevant agencies that study cartel transactions and take appropriate measures if necessary. We should wait for such an investigation. Until then, I will refrain from making specific explanations. The main thing is to listen to everyone and together we should find ways to reduce prices as much as possible, this is our task.

The working process will be completed by the end of April at the latest, accordingly, all aspects of the formation of the price markup will be identified and based on this we can make specific decisions, including specific legislative amendments. The working process already shows this. This working process, which is related to prices, will continue until the end of April at the latest," Kobakhidze said.
