When the head of state says that her state is getting smaller, or rather, she considers it so small, that she thinks that in order to survive, the state needs to be abolished, and is ready to support the abolition of her own state, I think we are indeed on different orbits in terms of values - in this regard, we cannot compete with Moldova in any way, - this is how the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, assesses the statement of the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, that "Russia has returned Georgia to its orbit."
According to Shalva Papuashvili, Maia Sandu is a person who supported the process of overthrowing the government in Georgia on October 4.
According to the Chairman of the Parliament, this already shows "what values this person stands on."
"When the Georgian presidential palace was being violently stormed, at that very moment, on October 4, she publicly supported the group involved in the overthrow of the government, which in itself shows what values this person stands for. There is also suspicions that she is doing this at the behest of others, because she remembers us once a year and for some reason she thinks she has some moral, political, ideological advantage to speak to the Georgian people in this tone. Therefore, of course, when we hear such anti-Georgian rhetoric from the Moldovan president, it is completely outrageous and it is important to react to it. We probably should have had a very clear reaction, in addition to the statements when the Moldovan president openly supported the groups involved in the violent overthrow of the government, so in this respect, I think it is clear what we are dealing with. This is a person who supports the abolition of her own state," Papuashvili states.
For information, Moldovan President Maia Sandu stated in her speech at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe that Russia has brought Georgia back into its orbit. According to her, Russia has brought Georgia back into its orbit by using the fear of war as a weapon and by sending the message that making the wrong choice in the elections would cost them peace.
