Presentation of Shalva Papuashvili’s annual report in Parliament also postponed — the Speaker is expected to deliver the address in the first week of March

Like the President’s address, the presentation of the annual report of the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia has also been postponed. Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili announced this at a Bureau meeting.

According to him, he is expected to present his report in the first week of March.

“Under the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, the Speaker’s annual report is also предусмотрed and, as a rule, is delivered during the first session week. However, for the same reasons I mentioned regarding the President’s annual address, and in order not to coincide with the week of the President’s report, I assume that I will present my report to Parliament in the first week of March,” Papuashvili stated.

For information, the presentation of Mikheil Kavelashvili’s address in Parliament has also been postponed. Papuashvili explained that the Prime Minister has a foreign visit scheduled for next week, and given the importance of the government’s attendance at the address, the process was postponed to February 17.
