The moment the EU ambassador says that a violent storming of the presidential palace is unacceptable, those who do it under the EU flag will be stripped of Brussels’ legitimacy – the silence shows that this is a deliberate policy of instilling a spirit of violence in Georgia, – the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists.

According to him, the support for the Nepal scenario in the Brussels briefing room indicates that Brussels is leading the EU into a civilizational abyss.

"In my opinion, the silence directly shows that this is a deliberate policy of inciting violence in Georgia. October 4 is precisely the result of this silence, and what was worse than the silence regarding October 4 was that the European Commission spokesperson directly supported the scenario of overthrowing the government. It is a disaster that we heard support for the Nepal scenario in the Brussels briefing room, what could be worse for Brussels to admit that it is leading the European Union into a civilizational abyss?! A simple question to the European Union and its ambassador, why did they not condemn, for example, the attack on Mariam Lashkhi and her minor children at least once? Could not he have said that the attack on Mariam Lashkhi, a member of the Georgian Parliament, and her minor children is unacceptable? Why doesn't he say that? Could not he have said in one simple sentence that the violent attack on the Georgian presidential palace is unacceptable and condemnable? I urge you, wherever you meet the EU ambassador, to ask this question: why does he not unequivocally and directly condemn the storming of the Georgian presidential palace, when people who are supported and, among other things, financed from the EU budget were involved in this storming and this entire process? The answer is simple - the moment the EU ambassador says that the violent storming of the presidential palace is unacceptable, those people who do this with the EU flag will be stripped of their legitimacy by Brussels. Today, they actually dare to commit violence with the EU flag, burn down the parliament with the EU flag in their hands, and storm the presidential building because Brussels legitimizes this, so that they can commit violence with the EU flag," Papuashvili said.
