A draft resolution providing for the establishment of a special temporary commission on price regulation issues has been initiated in Parliament

The commission will be called the “Temporary Commission for Studying the Pricing Structure of Food Products, Medicines, and Fuel.” Parliament is set to decide on its establishment at the plenary session on February 3.

According to Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, following the adoption of the resolution, the Procedural Issues Committee will determine quotas for each parliamentary faction and political group within the commission. He noted that February 3 and 4 will be devoted to forming the temporary commission, and it will begin its work on February 5.

The temporary parliamentary commission will be chaired by Shota Berekashvili, Chair of the Economic Policy Committee.
