The Helsinki Commission is very actively pursuing the so-called “deep state” line - all this is very clearly visible in the example of Georgia, - the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated in response to a journalist's question that "an American journalist exposes the Helsinki Commission with investigative materials and writes in the article that the Commission is compromised by foreign forces and is actively working against Trump's peace initiative."

According to Kobakhidze, the Helsinki Commission was used as the main tool against Georgia's interests.
