Today, the higher education system is, to put it mildly, in a difficult situation. Our system is unable to provide Georgian students with the proper quality of education, and our task is to improve all this qualitatively, in essence, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists when speaking about the meeting between the Minister of Education, Givi Mikanadze, and professors.

According to him, they will meet with the Minister of Education today and hear the content of yesterday's meeting.

"Today we will have a meeting with the Minister of Education. We will hear information directly from him regarding the content of this meeting and based on this, we will form specific decisions regarding it. Our task is very simple - today the higher education system, to put it mildly, is in a difficult situation. Our system cannot provide Georgian students with proper quality education and our task is to qualitatively, substantially correct all this. If someone opposes this, this is not right, including if someone has subjective interests, everyone should put their own subjective interests aside. The main task should be to provide high-level education to students, Georgian youth, to share knowledge. This is our main task and, of course, everything will be done for this," the Prime Minister said.
