Irakli Kobakhidze: This day reminds us of our responsibility to restore Tbilisi State University’s status as the mother university

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze says that Tbilisi State University should have its status as the “mother university” restored.

Kobakhidze commented on the anniversary of the founding of Tbilisi State University, emphasizing the government’s “responsibility” to restore the university’s status as it was “envisioned by Ivane Javakhishvili and his great associates.”

“Today marks the founding day of Tbilisi State University! This day reminds us of our responsibility to restore Tbilisi State University’s status as the mother university, as it was envisioned by Ivane Javakhishvili and his great associates!” Kobakhidze’s statement reads, as released by the Government of Georgia.
