Irakli Kobakhidze to be questioned in Parliament under interpellation procedure

Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, will be heard in Parliament on February 18 under the interpellation procedure. The topic of the hearing is migration-related issues. The session will begin at 12:00.

For reference, a few days ago the Prime Minister addressed the public in a video statement, where he spoke about the current situation regarding migration.

According to Kobakhidze, restrictions on the employment of foreign nationals will be significantly tightened starting March 1.

He also stated that last year more illegal migrants were expelled than in the previous ten years combined.

“Georgia will be fully freed from illegal migrants,” Kobakhidze said.
