Shalva Papuashvili - Higher education reform is actually an Estonian model and the Estonian ambassador is attacking the transition to the Estonian model, probably because she does not like her country's higher education

It is a matter of laughter that the future ambassador of Estonia to Armenia is interfering in the issue of education reform, interfering in a very crudely cynical way. The whole cynicism lies in the fact that the reform that is currently being implemented in Georgia is actually the Estonian model - perhaps the Estonian ambassador does not like the higher education of her country, - said the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili, who responded to the post published by the Estonian Embassy in Georgia on social networks: "We stand by Ilia State University."

According to Papuashvili, the Estonian government has a hostile policy towards Georgia.

"The hostile policy that the Estonian government is pursuing against Georgia is very serious, considering that we have positive attitude towards the Estonian people, although we see that the Estonian government is pursuing a hostile policy towards Georgia. Let me remind you that the Estonian government has declared 102 people persona non grata, almost half of the government, half of the parliament and half of the court, and this is, of course, a hostile step. In Estonia, organizations that have been re-registered from Georgia are conducting fake and fictitious registrations, and it seems that the Estonian government is helping them to bypass Georgian legislation. Here too, it seems that this is also a hostile policy towards Georgia. It is absolutely ridiculous that the future Estonian ambassador to Armenia, who is here so far, is interfering in the issue of education reform, but we know that she already sees herself as the Estonian ambassador to Armenia. She is interfering very rudely and cynically. The whole cynicism is that the reform that is currently being implemented in Georgia is actually the Estonian model, to which Georgia's higher education is moving, and the Estonian ambassador is attacking the transition to the Estonian model. Perhaps the Estonian ambassador does not like her country's higher education,” Papuashvili said.

For information, the Estonian Embassy in Georgia posted a photo of Ambassador Marge Mardisalu-Kaharmi with the rector of Ilia State University on social networks, with the caption: “We stand by Ilia State University.”
