Elene Khoshtaria: Our shame is the cruelty of "Russian Dream," the betrayal of the country's interests - we must not stop; society and the opposition must take the right role in establishing a new world order and true peace in the region

For our country and our society, this war is a great challenge - our shame is the cruelty, inhumanity, disgrace, and betrayal of the country's interests by "Russian Dream." We have managed this so far, and we must not stop now, - this is what Elene Khoshtaria, leader of "Droa," writes in a letter sent from Rustavi women's prison, which the "Droa" party has published.

Elene Khoshtaria responds to the fourth anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war and notes that "sanctions are a very small price that 'Georgian Dream' will have to pay for this."

"February 24 is the defining date of the 21st century. The day when, unexpectedly for everyone, dignity, love of country, and moral strength began to defeat evil, dictatorship, and indignity. The Ukrainian people, with great pain and resilience, stood up against cynicism, inhumanity, and lawlessness. Ukraine will definitely win! For our country and our society, this war is a great challenge - our shame is the cruelty, inhumanity, disgrace, and betrayal of the country's interests by 'Russian Dream.' We have managed this so far, and we must not stop now. It will be a heavy burden for us that Georgian traitors were helping a bloody terrorist regime, that they refused to go to Bucha, that they insult Zelenskyy, that they evicted Ukrainian IDPs from hotels, that they profit from the murder of people and children. It is very painful to realize this, but even more than the heaviness is the great responsibility to defeat this evil force - an evil, non-Georgian, undignified force. Sanctions are a very small price that you will have to pay for this!

Ukraine has changed the world and brought many new opportunities for the attainment of freedom and justice. Parasitism on this is yet another crime; therefore, society and the opposition must take the right and active role in establishing a new world order and true peace in the region. On this day, I cannot fail to express the greatest respect to Georgian fighters. Also, great thanks to Sopho Chkonia, Nino Katamadze, Nikoloz Rachvelishvili. Great thanks to Sopho Chikovani and Davit Kezerashvili for the enormous help to Ukrainian IDPs, to all businessmen and citizens who gave at least one lari to them in that difficult year, hosted them, and cared for them. Glory to the heroes! Слава Україні!" - writes Elene Khoshtaria in the letter.
