Salome Zurabishvili on sanctioning of Imedi and POSTV – This was an expected consequence, they should find questions and answers in themselves

What happened was an expected consequence and they should look for questions and answers in themselves, - this is how the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, responds to the sanctioning of Imedi and POSTV by Great Britain.

According to Salome Zurabishvili, the mentioned media outlets are no longer in the media role and are performing a "propaganda function".

"They actually started to stifle the free media themselves, and what is happening today is the result that follows the actions of such propagandistic media outlets. Everything has its own result and this propagandistic media is no longer in the normal media role and what happened today was an expected consequence and they should look for questions and answers in themselves", - Salome Zurabishvili stated.

Salome Zurabishvili also commented on the ongoing processes in the opposition with the media and noted that very active work is underway to create a "consolidated alternative".

"Everyone understands well in society and there is a demand from our foreign partners to see what the alternative will be. Everyone understands that this regime cannot continue like this, it is slowly losing its viability and is moving into a mental state, so something else is needed, you need to see an alternative. I know and am involved, very active work is underway to create a consolidated alternative, which is actually our future and necessary for this country," Salome Zurabishvili said.
