Lasha Parulava: Natia Turnava's statement threatens people who have deposits or accounts in banks - Murusidze must decide whether Great Britain's sanctions will apply to legal entities

The sanctioning of "Imedi" and "POSTV" will be followed by a second stage; sanctions will extend to specific individuals. If anyone thinks this is the end, they are greatly mistaken — the process will continue, — this was stated by Lasha Parulava, a member of the "United National Movement," on PalitraNews' program "Resume."

According to Lasha Parulava, the statement by the President of the National Bank, Natia Turnava — that "commercial banks are obliged to act in accordance with the norms established by the Constitution and legislation of Georgia" — threatens the financial stability of our country.

"For the first time, Great Britain has sanctioned legal entities — 'Imedi' and 'POSTV.' This is only the first stage, and a second stage will follow; sanctions will extend to specific individuals. If anyone thinks this is the end, they are greatly mistaken — the process will continue.

Natia Turnava's statement is a problem for the entire financial system, for the entire country, including depositors and account holders. Natia Turnava receives 38,000 GEL from the budget as salary precisely to protect financial stability, to be able to control prices, and to ensure the protection of both residents' and non-residents' interests who keep money in the country. Her statement threatens those people who have deposits or accounts. Instead of stability, she has destabilized the financial sector. Her statement is a threat to our country.

There is no economy in this country; what exists is a banking oligarchy. In this regard, until now there was at least some order, but now that order is being disrupted — when Murusidze must decide whether Great Britain's sanctions will extend to legal entities, when Natia Turnava made this statement, the interests of 500,000 people have been trampled underfoot," — stated Lasha Parulava.
