Giga Bokeria: The task of the “Opposition Alliance” is to organize a peaceful protest of such quality that it forces the regime to relinquish power - when they are politically backed into a corner, the negotiations will be real

“The task of this alliance, just like that of the vast majority of society, is to organize a peaceful protest of such quality that it forces the regime to relinquish power — we must absolutely achieve this,” stated Giga Bokeria, leader of the “Federalists” party, after the conclusion of the first working meeting of the “Opposition Alliance.”

According to him, the national task of this alliance, as well as of the vast majority of society, is to protect independence and freedom.

“This is threatened from outside by Russia and from inside the country by Ivanishvili’s regime, which carries out Russia’s business. The task of this alliance, as well as of the vast majority of society, is to organize a peaceful protest of such quality that it forces the regime to relinquish power — we must absolutely achieve this. After that, putting the country on the path that, in this historic moment, will protect independence, freedom, and freedom within the country,” Bokeria noted.

In response to a question about how “Georgian Dream” will relinquish power and whether negotiations will take place in the future between the alliance and “Georgian Dream,” Bokeria noted that when they are politically backed into a corner, negotiations on the process of relinquishing power “will of course be real, proceeding from the country’s interests.”

Ivanishvili and his political non-entities’ entourage have only one task: to preserve their own power and money. For this, they betray the country’s future. When they are politically backed into a corner, negotiations on the process of relinquishing power will of course be real, proceeding from the country’s interests. How was the Soviet Russian communist regime defeated? Formally they had power, but a turning point had occurred in society and their repressive apparatus could no longer function — the same will happen here. Free elections are the task. In order to achieve free elections, this regime’s propagandistic and repressive apparatus must be broken. This requires the mobilization of society, as it happened against the Soviet Russian communist regime. It must happen the same way now; the details may be different, the situation is not identical,” Bokeria noted.
